NSCDC Niger State Command got new Commandant.

REPORT ON HANDING OVER AND TAKING OVER CEREMONY

Date: 2nd September, 2024

The Handing Over and Taking Over Ceremony between the outgoing Commandant, Comdt. Joachin Okafor fcai, and the incoming Commandant, Comdt. Adamu A. Kambri, took place at the State Command Headquarters, Minna, on 2nd September, 2024.

The ceremony commenced at 0900 hours, with the arrival of the outgoing Commandant Joachin Okafor fcai inspecting the Quarter Guard and addressing the officers and men of the command, while the incoming Commandant,Comdt. Adamu A. Kambra was received at exactly 10:00hrs and , accompanied by senior officers and men of the Command. The dress code for the occasion was strictly adhered to, with senior officers wearing their full Number Four Dress Code (Jacket) and junior officers in their normal dress.

The outgoing Commandant, Comdt. Joachin Okafor fcai, in his handing over remarks, appreciated the Commandant General for giving him the opportunity to serve as a Commandant at Niger State and equally, appreciate his leadership and achievements in transforming the Corps for the  support and cooperation of the officers and men during his tenure. He highlighted the achievements and challenges faced by the Command and urged the incoming Commandant to build on the successes.

The incoming Commandant, Comdt. Adamu A. Kambra, received his hand over documents, Assets, Command's records and files, operational plans and procedures, Administrative documents, Equipment and Vehicles, property and facilities to mark a hand over and taking over properly. In his acceptance remarks, thanked the outgoing Commandant for his service and pledged to continue the good work. He emphasized the importance of discipline, professionalism, and teamwork in achieving the Command's objectives.

The ceremony witnessed the symbolic handing over of the Command's flag and other items from the outgoing to the incoming Commandant immediately inspect his Quarter Guard and address the officers and men to be dedicated and committed to their duties,thereafter, he had his first management meeting with the heads of department and units.

In attendance were senior officers, men, and personnel of the NSCDC Niger State Command.
